High-profile civil rights lawyer Benjamin Crump said Monday night that he has been retained by Ezra's parents. Crump said Ezra suffered brain trauma after he was trampled in a statement.

Houston police chief Troy Finner says Travis Scott was aware of safety concerns before he hit the stage at Astroworld.
In a statement on social media, Finner says he met with the rapper ahead of his Friday performance saying "I expressed my concerns regarding public safety and that in my 31 years of law enforcement experience I have never seen a time with more challenges facing citizens of all ages, to include a global pandemic and social tension throughout the nation."
The police chief said he also requested Scott and his team work with HPD on the event.
