Foo Fighters played a surprise show on Monday night (December 9th) at Rock & Roll Pizza in Moorpark, California, presumably as a warm-up for the group's upcoming stadium gigs in Mexico City. According to Loudwire, the band tore through a 23-song set that opened with "All My Life" and closed with "Everlong" but did not feature any new material from the act's next studio effort.

Avenged Sevenfold is getting ready to release both an animated series and a mobile game based around the band's recently issued sixth album, Hail To The King. The series will consist of six episodes and will be available on Machimina's HappyHour channel on YouTube starting December 15th. The series will serve as a prologue and back story for the group's mobile game, Hail To The King: Deathbat, with singer M. Shadows saying, “We felt this was the best way to tell the story and give you all an idea about the type of game we are creating."

Professionally shot video footage of Metallica's successful 10-song concert in Antarctica on Sunday (December 8th) has surfaced online. The historic concert took place under a dome at the Carlini Argentine Base and was heard by the fans through headphones, with no other amplifiers or sound system.
Fans from several Latin and South American countries had a chance to enter a contest and win the opportunity to join the band on the expedition. The gig was also live-streamed in the participating countries...
A website called 24/7 Wall Street analyzed beer sales and found there are nine beers that have plummeted in sales since 2007. Here are the nine beers Americans don't seem to drink anymore . . .

There's a new video on Vimeo.com where a guy base jumps off a cliff, but doesn't jump far enough away from it. So his parachute deploys, but he ends up slamming into the cliff multiple times on the way down. It looks painful.
The whole thing was captured by his helmet cam, plus a couple of other cameras. According to the video post, he ended up with a fractured vertebrae, 11 stitches, and a severely sprained back.
The "Dude Perfect" guys from Texas A&M have a new trick shot video. This one was shot inside a Dick's Sporting Goods Store, and features Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill.
